Historical Subject
The T28 was an American heavily armoured tank/self-propelled gun developed during WWII. Originally intended to help break through German defensive positions, it was later considered for potential use in the planned invasion of mainland Japan.
Initially designated Heavy Tank T28, it was reclassified as the 105 mm Gun Motor Carriage T95 in 1945 before being renamed Super Heavy Tank T28 in 1946.
