Historical Background

The 17cm Kanone 18 was a heavy German artillery gun developed for long-range bombardment during World War II. Mounted on the same carriage used by the famous 21cm Mörser 18, it combined powerful firepower with a sophisticated transport system that allowed the barrel to be removed for long-distance movement.

Despite its size and weight, the carriage design enabled full 360-degree traverse, making it one of the most capable heavy artillery pieces of its era.
